However, the pandemic had other plans in mind which led to the cancelation and left all educators wondering what the future held. As we have seen firsthand, educators are resilient and innovative! With that in mind, IMSE is excited to present our first annual Literacy Summit as a virtual option.
Over the last year, IMSE and its community have gone to great lengths to provide educators and parents with all the necessary tools to help our students thrive in this new educational landscape.
Through innovation and determination, IMSE continues to help teachers navigate structured literacy in the virtual classroom to help every student learn to read.
With the 2021 Literacy Summit moving to a virtual format, we have worked extremely hard to ensure everyone who attends will walk away feeling educated, empowered, and invigorated to take what you’ve learned back into the classroom.

What To Expect
When you attend this year’s Literacy Summit, you will learn some of the intricacies of structured literacy. Moreso, you will be shown strategies for how to help struggling readers in your classroom.
Topics will include:
- Comprehension & Vocabulary
- Phonological Awareness
- Differentiated Instruction
- Strategies for Struggling Readers
- Much More!
The Virtual Literacy Summit is not only for teachers! It is the perfect opportunity to learn about literacy development and what proper instruction looks like in the classroom. IMSE encourages school administrators, district leaders, parents, ELL teachers, and interventionists to register.
With the event being held online, it also gives you much more flexibility to attend. While it is our hope that everyone is able to tune in live, we understand the busy schedules and long days that educators are enduring.
To help combat that, everyone who registers will receive a recording of the full event in the days following. IMSE is also very excited to announce that everyone who attends will be entered into a drawing to receive a FREE IMSE training course ($1,275 value)! There will be multiple winners.
