That’s where IMSE steps in, providing educators with comprehensive professional development solutions that empower them to target all tiers of instruction.
At the heart of IMSE’s mission is a commitment to transforming literacy education through evidence-based practices and strategies. With a wealth of experience in the field, IMSE has pioneered the use of multi-sensory techniques to cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that educators have the tools they need to foster success in every student.
One thing that makes IMSE’s solutions stand out from the competition is their multi-tiered approach. Recognizing that no two students are the same, IMSE equips educators to address literacy instruction at different tiers.
Tier 1: Universal Instruction
IMSE’s training equips educators with strategies to create a strong foundation for literacy in the classroom. By integrating multi-sensory techniques into core instruction, teachers can engage all students, regardless of their learning preferences, setting the stage for future success.
Tier 1 instruction can look like 90 minutes of instruction per day, including 30 minutes of IMSE OG in the general education classroom with benchmark assessment at the beginning, middle, and end of the academic year.
Tier 2: Targeted Intervention
For students who need additional support, IMSE’s professional development offers strategies for targeted interventions. Educators learn how to identify struggling learners through assessment and progress monitoring and tailor instruction to meet their unique needs, helping them bridge the gap and catch up with their peers.
Tier 2 instruction should include a minimum of 10-18 weeks of 30-minute per day instruction 3x/week in addition to 90 minutes of core instruction with progress monitoring monthly or bimonthly.
Tier 3: Intensive Support
IMSE goes beyond traditional approaches by providing educators with tools to deliver intensive, individualized instruction. This tier ensures that even students facing significant challenges receive the personalized attention they need to overcome obstacles and thrive.
Tier 3 instruction should include a minimum of 20 weeks of 45-120 minutes of intensive instruction delivered by a special education teacher or interventionist 5 times per week with progress monitoring weekly or biweekly.
The Impact: Empowering Educators, Transforming Lives
IMSE’s commitment to nurturing literacy extends beyond the students to the educators themselves. IMSE’s multi-tiered professional development solutions acknowledge the unique needs of every learner and arm educators with the strategies necessary to make a difference.
By imparting a diverse range of instructional strategies, IMSE empowers teachers to adapt and innovate in their classrooms. This empowerment not only improves student outcomes but also reignites educators’ passion for teaching and fostering growth. Educators are then equipped to truly unlock the potential of their students and create a brighter future for all.
